Client Services:
Q. Do you do custom work?
A. Typically we do not. That said we do have a pension for doing unique pieces in order to continue stretching our skill sets and creativity. Contact us to inquire.
Q. Can these pipes be used for smoking substances that are not legal in the place of delivery?
A. Outside the Box Studios, dba Smokers Pipeline, creates products to be used for lawful purposes only. By ordering our products for delivery and using our web site you acknowledge that you are over the age of 21 and that the use of our products are not for illegal purposes and that Outside the Box Studios is held harmless if either of these conditions occur.
Q. If there is problems with my order, who do I contact?
A. Problems can happen and we are happy to work with our clients. Email us at the link above and we will respond within one business day.
Q. Do you personalize the pieces, such as engraving, upon request?
A. At this time we do not, but it is definitely something we are looking at for future sales.
Shipping:
Q. Do you ship to all 50 states and internationally?
A. No, at this time we only ship within the state of Washington and only business to business.
Q. What is Adult Signature Verification?
A. We deliver through the USPS and, upon delivery, the recipient of the package will need to show valid, government issued, photo ID and sign for the package. This means, basically, that without an adult present upon delivery the package will not be left. Typically, USPS tries once or twice then leaves a note for you to pick up at the local post office, were the adult signature will still be required.
Q. Are the packages mailed in a discreet package?
A. Yes, all packages are mailed in a standard flat rate USPS box with the return address noted as OTBS or Outside the Box Studios.
Q. How long does it typically take to get the piece(s) that I ordered?
A. Normally we will ship out within 2 or 3 business days then USPS, depending on how far you are from Seattle, Washington, will deliver within 3 to 7 days.
Q. Can I track my order?
A. Yes, all orders, when shipped are sent a shipping confirmation with a USPS tracking number.
Q: My product/packaging arrived damaged. What can I do?
A. Please refer to our shipping policies page for directions on what to do next.
Materials:
Q. Do you use sustainable materials?
A. It is always our goal to use materials that are sustainable and responsibly sourced. Briarwood, one of the main materials we used is from a vintage stock of briar that we are bringing back online. Once grown unattainably, due the plant being torn out to capture the burl, it is now harvested using modern techniques that keep the plant alive and usable for many harvests in the future.
Q. How durable are the pipes and accessories?
A. We've tried to make all our pieces not only cool to look at and hold but also durable for everyday use. Tested for months under normal, and sometimes purposefully abusive conditions, the are excellent at retaining their structure and look. Especially heavy duty is our line of Trail Pipes.
Please Note: The products with the heavy duty Pyrex borosilicate glass core and the water pipe sliders are naturally more vulnerable to breakage. With these products we take and recommend an approach that treats them like all glass pipes.
Q. Do you have any recommendations for cleaning and/or maintaining your pieces?
A. Yes! Care of your Smoker's Pipeline pipe or accessory is essential for long term durability and use. Click here for our recommendations!
General:
Q. Do you sell items at a discount?
A. The short answer is no. The long answer is that sometimes during production we have pieces we think have too many natural flaws to sell but are still really cool in their own way. To accommodate their needs to be seen, we will put the pieces in the Adopt Me section of our web site. These pieces will be typically priced less than the general population but are still awesome and totally functional.
Q. Do you make all your own pieces?
A. Yes. All the items on our web site are created from raw materials at our studio.
Q. Are you on social media?
A. Yes! Currently we are on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
Q. My piece was dropped after I received it and the outside was chipped/dented/otherwise damaged in an aesthetic way. Can you fix it? Is there anything I could do to fix it?
A. Given the nature of smoking accessories, we are unable to receive used products to perform maintenance. Additionally, we would suggest not to attempt a home repair. The hardwoods are finished in such a way that any additional work done to it will be far more noticeable than any naturally occurring damage.
