Description:
Italian olive wood smoking pipe with a square head and graduating sections of turned body that is hand made by a family of artisans in the Pacific Northwest. This pipe features a beautiful grain pattern that alternates between light tan and brown. Please note, these pics represent a model type. Since all pieces are hand made and bear distinct grain patterns, the shipped pipes will be close in style, grain and measurements to the these pictures.
Olive wood is known as an excellent smoking wood with good durability and a cool smoke that is offered by its dense and oil based composition. Known for its ability to heighten the smoking experience, during the break-in period and beyond, the wood can impart a light, subtly sweet, and earthy aroma or "nutty" character.
Olive wood also scores high in sustainability, as most olive wood used for pipes is sourced from pruned branches or mature trees that are no longer producing fruit, making it a more eco-friendly and sustainable material choice.
