Deep Orange/Red Matching Pipes with Caps and Tamper Kit
Beautifully polished vintage Italian Briarwood is used to create the smoking portion of the pipes. Briarwood has been considered, for centuries, the premium wood to use for smoking due to its high heat resistance and amazing grains.
Besides Briarwood, the main material used to create the tamper, the center for the larger pipe and the inlay for the caps is called Padauk. This naturally deep reddish orange hardwood, Pterocarpus soyauxii, also known as Vermillion, is a hardwood native to central and tropical west Africa.
The artisan's goal in crafting the larger smoking pipe was to create a unique conversation piece that also allows for a contaminant free, smooth drawing smoke by integrating a heavy duty Pyrex glass core in the draft.
The larger pipe's dimensions are:
- Length: 5.5 inches
- Bowl Height: 1.5 inches
As with any art that contains glass, even the heavy duty, thick walled, borosilicate Pyrex that we use, should be treated with caution and care. For more information on caring for this creation, click here.
