Briarwood Trail Pipe with Aromatic Red Cedar Inlayed Cap
The trail pipe series is a perfect for being banged around, stored in backpacks, and general overall rougher use. The cap offers for a secure holder for the contents and with a rougher exterior finish, large flat bottom and larger bowl, it is perfect for the outdoors.
The pipe is made from vintage Italian Briarwood. The wood was originally harvested in the 1960s. After being in storage for over half a century, the raw wood made its way to the United States and eventually in to the hands of our artisans.
The cap is inlayed with Eastern Red Cedar, or Juniperus virginiana, also known as aromatic cedar for the pungent aroma of the naturally occurring oils. This species of juniper is native to eastern North America from southeastern Canada to the Gulf of Mexico.
